I am planning to go more in-depth on my Life Story by 10-16-2023 which will be 35 year anniversary of my Car Wreck.

On July 20, 1995, is the day my life got changed I went bowling on my League at Lauderdale Lanes in Florence, AL and then after I finished my League, I went into Tapper's Lounge.

I was associating with my friend, she told me that she was pregnant and I was happy for her.  We was sitting there talking when this guy tripped and fell against this table beside me the man that was sitting there had a drink in front of him that was knocked off the table into his lap, I was minding my own business when the man got up and was leaving when I all of the sudden heard a bang and when I looked I caught a glance at a flame, I went to jump up and grab the guy that had the gun, but when I went to jump up my legs wouldn't function properly, I then looked down and saw a blood stain on my stomach I then realized I had been shot. I was very lucky that my friends that were Paramedics were there.  That night I was shot, I lost 7 pints of blood from my body.  I don't remember any of this part that I am about to tell you, but "while I was being prepared to go into the operating room my mom was standing beside me worrying about me whether I was going to live or die, but she then told me that I saw a Pretty Nurse walk by my operating bed, she told me I was in so much pain that I had stopped long enough to say get her number and I would call her as soon as I was out of the hospital." 

 

Then they sent me to Elvis Presley Trauma Center Hospital in Memphis, TN because, the hospital I was in couldn't do anything else for me.  I don't remember much of this, but my Temperature was extremely high that I had flat-lined (died) twice and they had to shock me back to life and that I don't remember, but I do remember being on a bed of ice to bring my temperature down, I remember one time that I was in that bed when my temperature downed, I told them to get me off that bed of ice because I was freezing.  I vaguely remember seeing something that looked like gates so I figure that I was at the gates to heaven, they were Very Bright and the color was like a Yellowish Light.  I was in the hospital for 3 or more months.
